Tom and I are happy as, well super happy to announce (finally for those in the know) that we’ve teamed up with O’Reilly to bring two new events into the world!
InsideRIA and InsideMobile!
If the names aren’t clear enough :) the goal of each is to bring together developers in those spaces, for more open ended conversations that are technology agnostic. Sure there could be “How do I update a table view in WebOS, or Android?” sessions, but there will also be sessions addressing strengths and weakness in the various mobile platforms, etc. We’re very open to topic ideas!
InsideRIA, will leverage the already awesome community and RIA focus of the insideRIA blog to provide a real world connecting point for Silverlight, JavaFX, Flex, etc developers.
Both events will be at our famous stomping ground, Ebay Town Hall, birthplace of 360|Flex and 360|iDev. Each event will be a single day (of course also a pre-conference training day) multi track event, aimed at introducing folks to the various options in both spaces.
You know Tom and I, this won’t be some weak sauce marketing focused event showing off “Roadmaps, future features, etc” that’s for the birds, this will be hands on, deep dive nitty gritty details from developers actually building in these platforms.
