360iDev – The Speakers – Henry Balanon

As with anything, iPhone application development is only partly development and design. It’s also marketing. With tens of thousands of apps in the App Store, you can’t just release and app and hope it’s found. Doing a search for Bubble Wrap in the App store this morning, returns 8 apps. 8 apps that do EXACTLY the same basic thing, make a bubble wrap popping sound. You better bet you’re gonna have to market the hell out of your app to get it noticed!

Henry’s session will help address that issue in his, “A Lottery You Can Decently Influence: iPhone App Marketing Essentials for Developers” session.

“If you build it, they will come.” That used to be the saying in the early days of the iPhone App Store. But now the gold rush is over and now your efforts towards marketing become increasingly essential. There are some basic and not-so-basic things you can do to make sure you app stands out from the day it is launched. This is a MUST see presentation at 360iDev.

We’re not all marketing geniuses (genii?) so this session will be hugely valuable for those of us not dialed into marketing juju.

Don’t miss it! Register now before the price goes up 9/1!! Why pay more? register now, save some coin! Don’t miss the best iPhone conference of 2009!
