360iDev Denver September 27-30, 2009!

bannerWe’re signing contracts today or Monday!

We (and especially me) are happy to announce that the next 360|iDev will be in my home town of Denver CO. I know, that’s not very east, and there’s just not much we can do about it yet. The east coast is a tough nut for us to crack, we have no presence there or knowledge of what’s a good area or not. Once we’re both Full time on events, that should change as we’ll have the time and resources to go investigate options and some of the suggestions we’ve received.

Until then, Denver!

We’ve opened registration for those folks who know the event is gonna kick ass and don’t need to wait. As usual there’s pricing tiers. The first tier is $360, and will last until we’ve sold 100 tickets. After that the price goes up to $495. Remember regardless of the price, your ticket gets you 3 days of 40+ sessions, and hands on training the Sunday before. Oh yeah and kick ass parties with lots of Rock Band and Guitar hero.

Going to WWDC? Tom and I will be walking around kissing hands and shaking babies… oh wait, that’s not right. Find us, track us down, put out a APB, whatever you gotta do, we’ll have our laptops and will be registering people for 360|iDev Denver for $200! Yeah $200! But you have to find US, there’s no code, there’s no special site, find us, bring your payment (Credit card, cash, Vintage Star Wars action figures, Except Lando!) and we’ll register you right there on the spot.

We’ll be opening the call for papers, soon, we’re just not sure if we should wait until after WWDC, since that doesn’t afford us much time to select speakers, and give people time to (as if any was needed) decide to attend.

I’ve asked before and gotten some feedback, so asking again to get a bit more. Open call for papers now, or wait? Maybe open now and leave some slots for post WWDC related stuff?

For those of you who were with us in San Jose earlier, you know our events are like any other, they’re fun, full of great people and little nutty. Denver has the perfect hotel for that type of event. The Curtis! You can get a wake up call from Mr. T, Darth Vader, and more. You can enjoy the themed floors, like heroes, sports icons, etc. Sit in beak out sessions in Marco Polo, Hop scotch, and Red Rover.

We looked long and hard and toured a lot of the hotels in the downtown area, and finally settled on the Curtis because of it’s fun and slightly ‘different’ vibe, which really suits our events.

Stay tuned, spread the word, and get ready for an awesome conference with the best folks in the industry!

360iDev coming to a Mile High City near you

I know, I know. New York isn’t mile high, Boston isn’t mile high, neither is Chicago, or blah blah blah.

Yeah we said our next 360|iDev would be somewhere east. Yes we intend to keep working eastward, but the fact is, the east is expensive. 360|Flex has never been more ‘east’ than Indianapolis and Atlanta.

Folks in the east, don’t take this as a slight, we really would love nothing more than to have our kick ass conference in Boston, New York, etc. The reality is, we’re in the West, so we can’t scope out potential venues, the other reality is we’re poor :) the east coast coasts more for hotel/conference centers.

We WILL be on the east one day, I promise it, it’s my personal goal!

In the meantime! Work is underway to find a venue in Denver. Why Denver? Well it’s my hometown for one thing, so that’s cool and it makes venue selection a bit easier. Plus Denver is absolutely AWESOME in September.

We learned a lot and met a ton of awesome people in San Jose! Denver is gonna rock, and it’ll be just after the excitement of WWDC!

See you soon!
