360|iDev – AltConf – WWDC USB Scavenger Hunt!

It’s that time of year again!

31fF7nDST2LI’ve ordered several cute little USB drives for this year’s Scavenger Hunt!

and this officially opens the call for apps, games, books, services, you name it, for this year’s drives.

If you’d like to contribute to the 360|iDev WWDC USB Scavenger hunt, just drop me an email and let me know.

What can be included?

  • Promo codes for apps and games in the app store.
  • Download codes for eBooks
    • Or actual eBook files (We’ve got a few GB to play with)
  • Discount codes for printed books
  • Discounts or free offers on your services (please keep these relevant to what a developer/designer might need)
  • Really, if it’s valuable to game and app makers in any way it’s welcome in the drive.

If you’re reading this and have no idea what I’m talking about here you go. Each year I bring between 5-8 USB drives loaded with thousands of dollars in goodies. I hide them outside Moscone, inside and around AltConf, and even sometimes inside Moscone at WWDC.

Each drive has a free pass to 360|iDev 2015 (can be applied to your ticket this year if you already bought one, or held on to for next year), as well as tons of other good stuff, last year the grand total was something like $2500 worth of goodies on the drive.

We take a picture of each drive before we hide it, and then tweet pictures and hints about the hiding place using the hashtag #wwdcUSBHunt. When you find the drive snap a nice selfie of you and your goodie loaded drive, with the same hashtag so that we know it’s found and of course so we can congratulate you.

It’s a fun way to make a hectic week a little more fun 🙂

Like I said, if you’ve got something you’d like to share, let me know. There’s no limit to what the drives can hold (since most things end up in a txt file!). This year we’ve got 6 drives, so make sure you’ve got 6 of whatever you want to offer.

Remember: Promo codes are only good for 30 days, so don’t generate them now, just let me know you’re in and I’ll follow up the week before WWDC.

See you at WWDC.
